Letter To the Kingborough Pickleball Club:
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the generous support of Kingborough Pickleball Club, which enabled me to represent Australia at the Pickleball World Cup in Fort Lauderdale, United States, from October 27th to November 2nd.
The hard work, training, and preparation paid off at both international events. I was pleased with my overall performance and achieved the following results:
International Pickleball Tournament (IPT)
Women’s 50+ Singles 5.0+: Gold Medal
Women’s Combined Ages Singles 5.0+: Silver Medal
Women’s 50+ Doubles 4.5+: Silver Medal
Pickleball World Cup (PWC)
We competed in the pool play against the United States, Italy, and Costa Rica, where we required a top two finish to advance to the play-off rounds. Our pool proved exceptionally competitive, featuring the eventual Gold (USA) and Silver (Italy) medalists from 68 competing countries.
Our results in the pool play were:
Round 1: Defeated the USA (3-2)
Round 2: Lost to Italy (1-3)
Round 3: Defeated Costa Rica (4-0)
Finishing with equal wins alongside the USA and Italy, we sadly missed the play-off rounds on a countback by just four points. Despite the narrow miss, it is worth noting that we were the only team to beat the USA across the entire Junior, Open, or Senior events, a significant achievement given the USA swept the gold medals in all three categories.

The entire experience was incredible! Playing against some of the world’s best amateur players at a world-class venue, which boasted 43 courts (14 covered) and the world’s first purpose-built pickleball stadium court, created indelible memories. However, the clear highlight and one in which was truly moving, was putting on the green and gold and representing Australia.
Thank you again for your critical part in this journey. I have included some images in appreciation of your support, and I look forward to sharing more of this experience with the club.
Regards,
